Spider-Man: Miles Morales Characters Detailed By Insomniac Games
The launch of the PlayStation 5 is less than a month away and gamers are excited to ring in the next generation of video gaming. Revealed back in June, the big brand-new title PlayStation fans have been looking forward to playing is Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Insomniac Games has promised a faithful follow-up to their 2018 Spider-Man PS4 game, but with players now controlling the fan-favorite half-black/half-Puerto Rican heir to the Spidey legacy. Along with plenty of new features, the new game has been expected to include new characters as well, and Insomniac Games has revealed new details about the main Spider-Man: Miles Morales characters.

As reported by GameInformer, Insomniac Games recently posted several photos containing new details about Spider-Man: Miles Morales characters on their official Twitter account. The images are framed as excerpts of Daily Bugle Now pieces, a seemingly modern digital rebrand of the classic Daily Bugle newspaper from Spider-Man lore. Each image spotlights a particular character, giving an image and a quick blurb about each person’s backstory.
The first is obviously for protagonist Miles Morales, whose big hobby in the game’s story is revealed to be music production, which was hinted at in the previously seen gameplay trailer for the game. Also introduced is Danika Hart, who Miles Morales fans will know from the comics. She has a passion for journalism and in the game will have her own podcast, called “The Danikast.” This podcast may serve a similar expository use like J. Jonah Jameson’s show did in the 2018 Spider-Man game.
Rounding out the Spider-Man: Miles Morales characters are Hailey Cooper, a street visual artist who is also deaf; and Ganke Lee, Miles’s close friend who is a talented engineer and tech developer. Other tweets from Insomniac indicate that Ganke will provide Miles with upgrades for his Spidey suit and gear in the game, similar to Doctor Octavius in the last game. It’s great to see Insomniac include a diverse cast of characters in this new game, and hopefully, they all get their chance to shine and show that they’re all The Sunflowers New York needs.
