Sonic The Hedgehog Trailer Coming Soon, Jim Carrey As Robotnik Leaked

It’s not often fans see Jim Carrey in the role of a full-on villain, however, the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog movie will see the actor step into the shoes of Dr. Robotnik himself. A new leak that’s recently arrived may provide some insight as to what the character will look like as well as hints at the possibility of seeing a new trailer for the film arriving very soon.

This latest leak comes by way of SegaBits, a YouTube channel that’s dedicated to all things Sega and Sega related. A post on Twitter by the channel indicates that a trailer is set to arrive today, possibly giving fans their first decent look at the film. Alongside the rumors of a new trailer, the post also reveals a possible first look at Jim Carrey’s Dr. Robotnik. While the character appears to be missing his egg-shaped body, he does sport a red outfit fairly similar to that of his video game/animated counterparts complete with red goggles and a snazzy mustache.

There hasn’t been any confirmation that either the trailer or the Robotnik image is real, though further posts on the original feed seem to give a hint of legitimacy to the picture. Seeing Jim Carrey in the role of Dr. Robotnik seems a little strange, but an intriguing casting choice nonetheless. Perhaps this rumored trailer will be able to give fans a better idea as to how the character will be portrayed.
