Sephiroth Officially Revealed As Latest Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Fighter (VIDEO)
The Game Awards 2020 has officially begun, with the proceedings showing off one exciting World Premiere after another, the first of which was clearly Geoff Keighley’s excellent choice in footwear. Moving right along, one of the first reveals from TGA 2020 was the announcement that Sephiroth has been tapped as the latest DLC fighter coming soon to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate!
As presented by Geoff Keighley and Nintendo, the One-Winged Angel himself is coming soon to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate to, as always, give Cloud a hard time. Sephiroth appears to be equipped with his iconic Masamune, which he is shown using to deftly handle his opponents and very nearly impaling poor Mario. Check out the reveal trailer below:
Some of Sephiroth’s iconic moves are on display in the trailer such as Scintilla and Black Materia. Towards the end of the trailer we’re also given a sneak peek at his ultimate attack, which he gets access to in the trailer after getting hit with Cloud’s Omnislash Ver. 5. Ladies and gentlemen, Safer Sephiroth has entered the building!
We don’t currently have a release date for Sephiroth, though the trailer does specifically state that he’ll be falling into battle at some point this month. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is now available exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
