SEGA Genesis Mini Confirms Several New Included Games
Assuring the microconsole trend is still going strong, SEGA has started hyping up its own retro-themed microconsole dubbed the SEGA Genesis Mini. Adopting a smaller variation of the console’s classic look, the device has already set it itself apart from the likes of Nintendo and Sony by offering a plentiful selection of 40 games at launch. Following the first ten titles seeing their reveal last month, a new batch of titles have now been confirmed for the nostalgia-fueled device.
Announcing the next 10 games over Twitter, SEGA confirmed the likes of Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Earthworm Jim, and Castle of Illusion starring Mickey Mouse will all be added to the SEGA Genesis Mini. The updated list also notably includes fellow Mickey adventure World of Illusion, Thunder Force III, and Contra: Hard Corps, these gems marking their modern return after over two decades of relative obscurity. A full list of all confirmed titles can be viewed down below.

It’s currently unknown when the next 10 games will be announced, but based on SEGA’s timing so far, it wouldn’t be crazy to assume a reveal might take place sometime in the coming weeks.
