New Sea Of Thieves Trailer Breaks Down A Bounty Of Gameplay Details (VIDEO)
Rare has big things planned for their upcoming title and have released a new Sea of Thieves Trailer to show just what players can do. The video breaks down all of the features coming to the game and how players can band together or go it solo on the open seas. The shared-world adventure definitely has a lot to offer upon release.
The lengthy Sea of Thieves trailer below reveals “everything you need to know” about the game. Players get to choose from a bounty of pirates using the “Infinite Pirate Generator” to explore the wide-open world, pirating and looting as they go. There are plenty of stories hidden throughout the world and vendors to provide quests for players interested in earning rewards and gold.
The game offers a great deal of diversity in play with plenty of customization options, campaigns, sea battles, and so much more. Players can band together to pilot galleys and form armadas with other groups, or take to the seas and islands to snatch loot from other players. The Sea of Thieves trailer also features gameplay and beautiful landscapes to explore. Ultimately, Rare is serving up what looks like a fun time building a pirate empire.
For a bit more about the game, here is some of what’s to come:
Sea of Thieves is a shared world adventure game (or SWAG) with crew co-operation at its core, designed to let you be the kind of pirate you want to be. Want to follow maps and solve riddles to find legendary treasure? Assemble the mightiest, most fearsome crew to sail the seas? Set a course for the horizon and just explore? Our ambition is to build a game that lets you pursue whatever adventure your salty heart desires.
Venture out onto a vast, open ocean, uncovering new regions scattered with unspoiled islands and the sunken ships of less agile sailors. You’re free to approach this world and its wealth of challenges however you choose. Sail for the sheer joy of discovery or undertake dramatic voyages, following maps and untangling riddles, learning to expect the unexpected…
When parley is off the table, fight to protect your crew and your gold in ship-to-ship battles with cannon, pistol, blunderbuss and cutlass, pursuing rivals through raging storms. Sail in pursuit of deadly bounties, or ferry cargo through hostile waters. Clash with the skeletal remains of ancient reavers and beware marine menaces that lurk beneath the waves!”
With so much to do and so many customization options featured in the Sea of Thieves trailer, it’ll definitely be a hard title to put down. Sea of Thieves comes out March 20th for Xbox One and PC.
