WWE’s Samoa Joe Joins The Decepticons In Upcoming Transformers Series
WWE wrestler Samoa Joe can usually be heard dropping a scathing line on his opponents just before choking them out in the ring. As any fan can attest, the athlete’s impressive intensity is nicely complimented by his skills on a microphone. The newest endeavor by the “Samoan Submission Machine” continues what he does best, but this time in Hasbro’s animated sci-fi world of Transformers.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Joe is set to provide his considerably imposing voice to the side of Decepticons in the upcoming animated series Transformers: Power of the Primes. The Samoan will portray the character of Predaking, a massive dragon transformer that becomes fully formed when combined with the five Predacons. Joe confirmed the news of his robotic role in a post on Instagram.

Samoa Joe will be joined by Star Wars actor Mark Hamill and former Hellboy Ron Perlman in bringing the final installment of the Prime Wars trilogy to life. Other familiar names returning for the trilogy-ender are Wil Wheaton as Perfector, Judd Nelson as Rodimus Cron, and Jamie King as Solus Prime. This new addition to an already impressive voice cast is sure to bring even more eyes to Transformers‘ animation when Power of the Primes eventually hits Verizon’s go90 streaming service in Q2 of 2018.
What do you think? Will Samoa Joe’s Predaking put his foes to sleep with the Coquina Clutch, or will the Autobots ultimately win the day?
