Ruined King: A League of Legends Story Gameplay Trailer Revealed (VIDEO)
We finally have our first gameplay trailer for Ruined King: A League of Legends Story, and it’s all thanks to the magnificence that is The Game Awards 2020. Released by Riot Games in the back half of the annual event, the new gameplay trailer shows off the publisher’s collaborative efforts with Airship Syndicate, the studio whose previous credits include the notably similar-looking title BattleChasers Nightwar.
As shown in the gameplay trailer, Ruined King brings together some of Bilgewater’s finest in some action-packed, semi-turned-based excitement. Featuring Miss Fortune, Braum, Illaoi, Pyke, Yasuo, and Ahri, the gameplay seems to transition from a platformer to a strategic turn-based title, with the elements of the former dependent on which character is being controlled. As for the game’s story, that’s still rather unknown. It will of course involve the titular Ruined King, who has a blade named after him in League of Legends, though the rest of the plot is still a mystery. “Unite a party of League of Legends Champions, explore Bilgewater and set sail for the Shadow Isles to uncover the secrets of the deadly Black Mist,” the game’s official website reads.
