Rocket League Reveals Zephyr Update, 'Rocket Pass' Launch Details

Now that Rocket League has finished celebrating its anniversary, developer Psyonix has revealed what it has planned for the month of August. Revealed in a new blog post over on the Rocket League website, the developer has announced new content for the game in the form of a ‘Zephyr Update,’ as well as a friendly reminder that the Rocket Pass is coming soon.

Arriving next week, the Rocket League ‘Zephyr Update’ brings with it the addition of the Zephyr Crate to the game, which features the new ‘Cyclone’ Battle-Car, which is based on the Breakout car’s hitbox. As usual, unique Engine Audio and Common Decals will also be obtainable. In addition to the new cosmetics, the Zephyr Update also brings with it a few bug fixes and tweaks to the Twinzer’s painted appearance. Fans can expect full patch notes for the Zephyr Update on the same morning it releases. Check out the Zephyr Crate’s Cyclone Battle-Car below:

In regards to the game’s Rocket Pass, fans can expect it sometime next month, according to the developer. “What’s up with Rocket Pass and the new progression system is likely your next question,” Psyonix said in the blog post. “Both are still on track as outlined in our Summer Roadmap. We still plan to include them in an update before the end of August, so stay tuned for more information in the coming weeks.”

Rocket League is now available for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
