Returnal File Size Revealed, Pre-Load Available Now

Returnal

We are less than one week away from the release of one of the first truly exclusive next-gen games that can only be played on the PlayStation 5. Housemarque’s roguelike shooter is looking to be quite the adventure for players, and now we know how big the game’s file size is so fans can start clearing space on their hard drives. In addition to this, Returnal is now available to pre-load for those who have pre-ordered the title.

For those who have pre-ordered Returnal, you will notice that the game is currently available to pre-load before its launch at the end of the month. However, before doing so you will likely want to make sure the relatively small amount of hard drive space on the PS5 will be able to accommodate the new title. This is not because the game is massive, it comes in at 56.101 GB (via MP1st), but because the space is really that limited.

For those who may be unaware, Returnal will place players in the role of Selene, who has just crash-landed on an intriguing planet. Once there, players must do everything they can to fight and survive, only to keep doing it over and over again. “Brought to life by stunning visual effects, the dark beauty of the decaying world around you is packed with explosive surprises,” reads the official description. “From high stakes, bullet hell-fueled combat, to visceral twists and turns through stark and contrasting environments. You’ll explore, discover and fight your way through an unforgiving journey, where mystery stalks your every move.”

Returnal is set to drop on April 30th exclusively for PlayStation 5, with pre-loading available now for those who have pre-ordered the game. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
