Resident Evil Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Event Details Revealed
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is nearing its first anniversary since its release, and the game continues to keep players returning for more fighting mayhem. The Nintendo title has accomplished this by providing new updates, such as having new DLC characters like Terry Bogard from Fatal Fury. Another less costly way the game has been able to maintain excitement has been through Spirit Battles, which utilize the characters and abilities already in the game to mimic other famous video game characters. Now, the latest Spirit Battle additions come in the form of a Resident Evil Super Smash Bros. Ultimate crossover event.

Nintendo announced the new Resident Evil Super Smash Bros. Ultimate spirit battle event on their official Nintendo VS Twitter account. Starting on November 29th and going until December 4th, players will be able to fight in four different Resident Evil-themed Spirit battles. These will includes the Spirits of Leon Kennedy, Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine and Albert Wesker. Victory in these Spirit battles will reward the player with the spirit of the respective opponent.
While some Resident Evil fans will rejoice upon seeing their favorite characters in a Smash Bros. game, others may be disappointed to realize that this Spirit battle event occurring without a DLC character release means that Leon, Jill or Chris probably won’t be official fighters in the game any time soon. Still, this is very much a big step forward for Resident Evil representation in Super Smash Bros., and hopefully this opens the gates for an official Resident Evil fighter to join in the battle.
