Resident Evil 7: Biohazard Will Have Cross Saving for Xbox One/PC
The holiday season is fast approaching and all too soon we will be moving into a brand new year with brand new games. With this, players have a lot to look forward to, especially with the release of some big news. It’s finally been announced that Capcom title Resident Evil 7: Biohazard will have cross saving features between Xbox One titles and Windows 10 copies, which means players can switch between the two whenever the situation calls for it.
The announcement was first made on Japanese website Dengeki Online, where they explained further details on the upcoming title, including the cross save feature between Windows and Xbox. So far, it’s looking like players will only be able to utilize this function if they have purchased a copy of the game from the Windows store, but this is a big step in utilizing inclusion between consoles and closing the gap for gamers cross-console.
While this is all exciting news, there’s one thing to keep in mind. In normal circumstances, cross saving is associated with Xbox’s Play Anywhere feature. However, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard doesn’t look like it’s involved in that line-up of titles. It’s a curious development, but one that we’re excited to see unfold as we draw closer to the release date. With time, hopefully we’ll get some insight as to what Capcom has planned for Xbox and PC gamers.
January 24th can’t come soon enough for Resident Evil fans. If you’re stoked about the game’s release, make sure you check out the collector’s edition in all it’s gruesome glory and preorder it while you can.
