Red Dead Redemption 2 Update May Include A Bully 2 Easter Egg
With the recent update Rockstar has brought to Red Dead Redemption 2’s online component, Red Dead Online, players are able to participate in a slew of new content giving them a chance to take on different roles within the world among various other new additions. Arriving alongside the new gameplay content, it seems there might be a reference concerning another Rockstar IP, the Bully franchise.
A new wanted poster has been discovered within Red Dead Redemption 2 that features one Meredith Hopkins. Ms. Hopkins is wanted dead or alive due to shooting her neighbor’s farmhand and fatally wounding the lad for allegedly trespassing on her property. Now while there isn’t much else to go on regarding the bounty, some fans have taken note of the woman who’s name also bears the same last name as the protagonist of Bully, Jimmy Hopkins. It may be a simple coincidence, but knowing Rockstar’s love for throwing Easter eggs all over the place and the solid amount of Bully-inspired easter eggs that have been used in the past, it seems likely that this is also a solid reference as well.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is currently available for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
A leak for Bully 2 was announced earlier this year however it was later proven to be false, however, that isn’t to say that the title isn’t lurking around the studio just waiting for a chance to make a major announcement. Could there be some sort of distant relations between Meredith and Jimmy? Could this possible easter egg be a tease for an announcement in the near future?
