Red Dead Online: How to Reach Max Bond With Horses
Bonding with horses in Red Dead Redemption 2 and Red Dead Online isn’t all that difficult however it can be quite time consuming for some players. Thankfully, it seems that it doesn’t have to take forever and one fan has shared a method of reaching the maximum bond level with any horse in a short amount of time.
Normally, a player’s bond with their horse increases through various actions such as feeding, brushing, walking, and more. While most players might simply use the horse and ride it from place to place, one fan decided to walk lead theird, discovering just how long it takes to reach the maximum bond level with the creature. Redditor Captain_Jalapeno took to the social media platform in order to share their findings.
Seen in the image below, Captain_Jalapeno began leading their horse from the Valentine stables towards the train station and then South along the tracks before heading west towards Riggs Station. After leading the horse Northward past Wallace Station indicated by the green line on the map, the horse had reached the max level of bonding.
Leading horses around seems to be the fastest way to bond with them and this route in particular takes about 24 hours in-game time and translates to about 1 hour in real time. There is a chance that players using this method will be attacked by wildlife or even other players, so it is recommended that players stock up on ammo and weapons before beginning their trek. It’s also worth noting that the horse that this redditor used is a PlayStation 4 exclusive horse, the Red Chestnut Arabian, and the time it takes to bond with a different horse may change depending on whether or not they’re a higher level or not.
Red Dead Online is available for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. It might take a bit of time but as far as bonding with a fresh horse goes, this is a useful way to get there fairly quick.
