The Punisher Netflix Original Series has officially finished production. Fans of Jon Bernthal, best known until now for his role on The Walking Dead, will be pleased to know that bloody justice is coming to Netflix on schedule for its 2017 release. While there is still a lot of post-production work to be done, the cast and crew can sit back and bask in the afterglow.

Jon Bernthal made his first debut as the gun-toting vigilante, Frank Castle, in the second season of Marvel’s Daredevil. Gaining positive reviews from fans set the light green for The Punisher Netflix original series to begin pre-production. A few months and a series of set photos later leaves a testament of how bad-ass things are looking for the up-coming series.

The news of The Punisher Netflix series wrapping up marks the end of roughly six months worst of production. Cast took an opportunity to kick back at a wrap party to celebrate and relax the end of a long session of filming. The gallery below shows a few of the cast having fun!

The release date has yet to be announced but fans are anticipating it later this year. With The Defenders coming in the summer featuring Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist, there will be 8 episodes to binge before The Punisher Netflix series likely hits in the fall or winter. The Defenders is slated for August 18th.

Aside from Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle, The Punisher Netflix series will also include talents such as Ben Barnes, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Daniel Webber, Amber Rose Revah, Deborah Ann Woll, Michael Nathanson, Paul Schulze, Jason R. Moore, and Jamie Ray Newman. All in all, this seems to be shaping up to be on hell of a series. Now would be a good time to catch up on any missed episodes of Daredevil before the series premieres.
