PUBG Season 4 Now Live Featuring A New Survivor Pass, Reworked Erangel, And More (VIDEO)

PUBG Corp seems to have begun to crack the secret behind winning battle royale fans’ hearts once again. Last week, the developer released a surprisingly dark lore video for both the game and its original map, Erangel. This also served as a bit of a teaser for the upcoming Erangel rework, set to go live with the start of PUBG Season 4. Now, said season has officially left the public test server and has been released into the wild, providing players with yet another reason to put on the 3 helm and shoot for that ever elusive chicken dinner.

Alongside the start of Season 4 comes a brand new Survivor Pass, Aftermatch, which offers cosmetic items that are meant to be a throwback to Erangel’s dark, war torn history. Fans can also look forward to plenty of balance changes and a UI update, as well as *gasp* the ability to heal while walking. The newly released patch report should shed additional light on what to expect from the latest update:

To dive a bit deeper into the Erangel changes, several of the map’s more popular landing areas – Mylta Power, Military Base,, Pochinki, etc – have received overhauls, while much of the map’s hilly terrain has been smoothed over. It should still be the Erangel you know and love, but it’s grown up a bit and shed some weight. Those looking to check out the full patch notes can do so right here.

PUBG is now available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
