PS5 Conference Reportedly Taking Place As ‘Early As Next Week’
While the Xbox Series X has already had its full reveal with numerous spec details shown to the world earlier this year, the upcoming PlayStation 5 has yet to receive the same treatment, with Sony continuing to trickle out tidbits of information despite the looming release window of Holiday 2020. Thankfully, we may finally be getting our first good look at the PS5, with a new report suggesting that an official reveal is coming early June.
The news comes by way of the folks over at Bloomberg, which reported that people with “direct knowledge of the matter” have stated that a digital event may take place on June 3. That said, this same report also suggests that these plans are by no means locked down, and the date could change. Based on the report, not everything about the PS5 will be shown during this initial reveal, with other Sony events slated to follow in the coming weeks and month.
While there is no solid evidence that the event will happen next week, this does line up with a recent report suggesting that Sony will be revealing a compelling lineup of first-party and third-party PS5 titles soon. Sony CEO Kenichiro Yoshida failed to confirm any dates, simply stating that i’ll be happening “soon.”
