Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time Remake Officially Revealed (VIDEO)
One of the worst kept secrets in the video game industry is now no longer a secret, with an official remake for Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time finally getting announced during today’s Ubisoft Forward event. The rumors have suggested for quite some time now that the remake would involve at least one of the old Prince of Persia games, and now we know it’s none other than the classic PS2 title that kicked off the trilogy.
Ubisoft made the announcement during the first half of its Ubisoft Forward event, showing off an official trailer for the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake followed by a brief look at some of the behind-the-scenes development process that brought our beloved prince back to life. Check out the trailer below:
Despite being an official remake, this revitalized Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time doesn’t actually look any better than, say, PS3’s The Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands. This could potentially be chalked up to the fact that it’s alpha footage we’re seeing, though it makes one wonder why Ubisoft isn’t putting its best foot forward for a franchise whose cult following has only ever grown over time.
The upcoming remake is slated to release on January 21st, 2021 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
