Pokémon Sword And Shield Release Date Set With New Trailer (VIDEO)
Nintendo is bringing an all-new Pokémon adventure to home consoles for the first time in years with Pokémon Sword and Shield, the Nintendo Switch title having boasted plenty of new inclusions and surprises to make this homecoming one to keep an eye on. Though only a sliver of the RPG has been revealed so far, players are surely prepping for their journey in the Galar region, an adventure now set to begin November of this year.
As revealed during the previously-announced Pokémon Direct presentation, Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield are both set to launch on November 15th, 2019 for a global simultaneous release. The reveal also showed off official cover art, each depicting the games’ debuting duo of legendary wolf Pokémon. The announcement was made alongside a spiffy trailer, which can be found in the video below.
In addition to the date reveal, a special double pack containing the two games has gone up for pre-order, beginning today on the Nintendo website. Intended for those who traditionally collect both instances of Poké-releases, the pack contains Pokémon Sword and Shield for the price of $120 USD. This is relatively the same price as getting the two games separately ($60 each), but nonetheless a welcome option for completionist players.
