Next Destiny 2 Expansion “Shadowkeep” Leak Reveals More About Potential New Expansion

The original Destiny took players to the Earth’s moon, a desolate place overtaken by an enemy known as the Hive. Though Guardians have encountered the enemy on Earth, it wasn’t until they had to fight them on the Moon that the Hive’s true nightmarish nature began to sink in. Now it seems that players will be headed back to the home of the Hive in Destiny 2 thanks to a new rumor.

The recent leak comes by way of Reddit user javano_14, though unfortunately the post has since been removed. The post revealed that dataminers were able to uncover new information from the most recent update that indicates that players will be headed to the Earth’s moon once more to face off against “terrifying shadows” that have appeared. Guardians will reportedly explore a citadel that appears to be Hive in nature according to the image below and will be dubbed the “Shadowkeep”, quite the ominous title. The post also indicated that players will be seeing this expansion will drop sometime this fall.Destiny 2

Destiny 2 is currently available for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Bungie has yet to announce whether or not the rumor is accurate or not but it shouldn’t be long before some answers can be found.
