Persona 5, Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, and Metroid Trilogy Leaked for Nintendo Switch

There’s already a pretty solid lineup of titles heading to the Nintendo Switch in 2019, many of which having been confirmed over the last few months. However, it looks like plenty more are on the way by the looks of a recent leak, suggesting a release for Persona 5, Metroid Prime Trilogy, and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past are all set to launch sometime soon.

All the speculation originates from a Best Buy database listing leaked over social media, where a Person 5 Switch port was pretty convincingly shown to exist. This may not be too surprising for some as such speculation has mounted lately following several rumors suggesting the popular fifth entry was on its way to Big N’s portable console.

However, it seems the leaks didn’t stop there as two more games were discovered to have been listed as well: Metroid Prime Trilogy and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. These two are especially surprising as the former hasn’t been rumored for quite a while and the latter straight-up hasn’t been hinted in the slightest. We know there’s a stunning remake of The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening in the works, but nothing regarding A Link to the Past; whether it be a complete remake or retro re-issue.

It should be said that a leak such as this ought to be taken with a few pinches or salt. While a Nintendo Switch version of Persona 5 may seem like an inevitability and Metroid Prime Trilogy is somewhat likely in light of its upcoming fourth entry, a supposed release of A Link to the Past might not be as reliable; calling into question the entirety of this whole leak. Sure, there’s precedent in taking mass retail leaks at face value, but it’s always best to err on the side of caution.
