Overwatch In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate “Would Be An Awesome Thing,” Says Blizzard

Overwatch Super Smash Bros Ultimate

With only a few weeks remaining before Blizzard Entertainment’s wildly popular FPS Overwatch makes its way to the Nintendo Switch, fans are getting excited to take the action on the go. Of course, with the game coming to the platform, this has led many to believe that we could potentially see one of the heroes find their way to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and it would appear that the devs are on board with the idea.

During a recent interview with Inverse, Blizzard producers Andrew Boyd and Wes Yanagi discussed Overwatch and its upcoming launch on the Nintendo Switch. Among the topics talked about, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was brought up, especially the possibility of seeing one of our favorite heroes featured in the game at any point and who the producers’ picks would be. “It’s hard to pick your favorite hero,” Boyd said. “All of them have their own draw in Smash and it’s a really cool idea.”

Yanagi chimed in to say, “They’re all my favorite. It would be an awesome thing to have but that’s up to Nintendo right now.” It indeed would be awesome to see any of the Overwatch heroes in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, but as Yanagi said, the ball is in Nintendo’s court now.

Overwatch is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and will be coming to Nintendo Switch on October 15th. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
