The arrival of Okami HD is nigh, and Capcom wanted to make sure fans were on the edge of their seats in anticipation. Three new gorgeous Okami HD trailers were released featuring two celestial brush gods Amaterasu encounters within the game. With their help, players must guide her toward a successful defeat of the Youkai boss, Orochi. Nonetheless, it won’t be an easy task.

The first trailer showcases Kasugami, the drunken (and likely alcoholic) sheep whom teaches Amaterasu the “Veil of Mist”, a two brush stroke technique that slows down time. The second trailer features Moegami, the pipe-smoking phoenix who passes on the “Inferno” technique used to melt down objects standing in the way. Of course, the third one spotlights Orochi, the colossal serpent demon that resides in the Moon Cave. In the midst of it all, Capcom sufficiently shows off the beautiful art style that the game is known for and brought back to life in 4K resolution.

Blessed be the hands that made this feat of bringing a beloved series to modern day possible. Okami HD is scheduled for release on December 12th, 2017 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in North America and Europe. A Japanese release will follow on December 21st.
