Nintendo Announces Monster Hunter Stories Release Date for Europe

Showcased as a more child-like and vibrant representation of the Monster Hunter series, Monster Hunter Stories released in Japan in October last year and an official Nintendo announcement has confirmed a release for Europe. Though there have been varied opinions regarding it’s divergence from the usual art and gameplay style found in previous titles in the franchise. In fact, it looks like an entirely different series altogether, save for the monster and hunting involved. It’s highly possible that Capcom is trying to reach out to a different demographic.

Prepare to embark on an RPG adventure unlike anything the Monster Hunter series has ever known. In Monster Hunter Stories™, become a Rider and bond with monsters to raise their potential and unleash powerful combos. Players can fly, swim and crash into new areas of the map, discover eggs to collect and hatch, and participate in turn-based battles with a party of multiple monsters.”

There has not been news yet about whether North America will be seeing their own version, but the possibility is extremely likely. Monster Hunter Stories will debut on September 8th, 2017 in Europe for the Nintendo 3DS. In other franchise related news, Monster Hunter World has received all the hype and quickly became one of the most anticipated titles from Capcom yet. This may not come as a surprise to those who have seen the gameplay reveals and coverage during E3 2017 just a couple weeks ago.
