Nidhogg 2 Will Be Making Its Way To Nintendo Switch Later This Year
Messhof, the developer of the ridiculously fun action platformer of the Nidhogg series, will be bringing the sequel title to the Nintendo Switch later this year. Nidhogg 2 keeps all the fun of the original title with enhanced details and graphics of pure enemy destruction. Oh, and the giant “wurm” has decidedly made a comeback to make your life terror. Though there are many weapons at one’s disposal, success also stems from your personal dodging abilities.
Messhof’s Mark Essen, took to Twitter to announce the awesome news of Nidhogg 2 heading to the Nintendo Switch with a not-so-subtle pun from the get-go. Perhaps it really is time to “Switch” it up.

Compared to the original, Nidhogg 2 features loads more weapons, levels, and music. Get stab happy, stomp on, slice or what have you through foes with the various different weapons at your disposal. Your goal is to reach the other side of 10 different arenas by demolishing any and all enemies that stand in your way and to ultimately become a worthy sacrifice. The game also features 1v1 player versus player or AI. There are even tournaments to participate in.
Nidhogg 2 is available now for PlayStation 4, PC, and arriving on the Nintendo Switch later this year. As for a precise release date, more will be revealed soon.
