Next Major Halo Game is Coming Together Just Fine; Not Ready for a Reveal

Halo Game

Microsoft’s E3 briefing yesterday brought with it a multitude of new and current games to keep an eye out for this year. As expected there was no news of the next big Halo game, however, some fans may have been just a little disappointed that the title wasn’t even mentioned. In response to one such fan on Twitter, head of 343 Industries Bonnie Ross explained. Here’s what he said:

While Halo 6 isn’t mentioned by name, the “next big Halo” gives a fairly good idea as to what she was referring to. Still unannounced, it seems as though it will be some time before fans are able to find out anything major about the next Halo installment. What Ross did reveal is that the title will have LAN support, something that was lacking in the previous Halo 5: Guardians. This comes after the unannounced title was said to feature a split screen earlier this year.

In the meantime, fans can check out Halo Wars 2 in order to pass the time. The title did receive some news today unlike it’s FPS counterpart. 343 Industries announced a new DLC for the game called Awakening the Nightmare which will introduce the Flood into the RTS.

While it would have been amazing to see the Chief back in action again, perhaps it’s for the best fans didn’t get their hopes up too early.
