Take a Look at Official Anthem Pre-Alpha Gameplay Showcased During Xbox E3 (VIDEO)

Just as it was announced yesterday during Electronic Art’s presentation, EA Play, more information on BioWare’s newest IP Anthem was unveiled today during the Xbox E3 presentation with an exclusive look at the official Anthem pre-alpha gameplay. Representatives and creators at BioWare have previously mentioned that this game will be the biggest project they have ever tackled. Based on the video, which can be seen below, it’s not difficult to see why. The world outside the walls of Tarsus is breathtaking, but it also hosts a variety of perilous foes, threats, and challenges to take on.

In the world of Anthem, you and your friends are freelancers – the heroes that leave the safety of the walls of Fort Tarsus to explore the unknown and protect humanity. Let’s join two players as they head out on an expedition.

Players get to don highly customizable exosuits called Javelins to brave the area beyond. Each player will have a selection of suits to choose from and modify, giving players a unique combat style and experiences outside Fort Tarsus. As seen in gameplay above, you can choose to fly through the sky one moment and dive into deep blue waters the next. Up to 4 friends can play Anthem in this “shared-world action-RPG” and everyone’s encounters benefit the others.

Experience massive, world-altering occurrences like Shaper Storms. Fight savage beasts and ruthless marauders. Delve forgotten ruins as you seek to defeat the forces plotting to conquer humanity.

Currently, Anthem is not being toted as a console exclusive and more details remain to be seen. However, it is intended to debut in Fall 2018. Seeing as the disclaimer at the end of the video reveals that “4K won’t be available on all platforms”, it is safe to assume it will be available on other platforms as well. For now. What do you think of the official Anthem pre-alpha footage? Does it remind you of a bunch of different games? Feel free to leave any thoughts or comments in the section below or begin a conversation on Don’t Feed the Gamers official Facebook and Twitter!
