New Tomb Raider Reboot Posters

With the upcoming film installment in the long-standing Tomb Raider franchise set to release next month, fans are eagerly awaiting the opportunity to see Alicia Vikander take on the role of protagonist Lara Croft. Sure, we’ve gotten to see clips of what’s to come, but we’re going to need the full movie soon, Warner Bros. In the meantime, however, we can check out the new Tomb Raider reboot posters that the studio just dropped.

The upcoming film, which is due out March 16, will be based off of the rebooted games series, with the first installment having arrived in 2013. In it, fans will see Alicia Vikander assume the role of archaeologist and adventurer Lara Croft. With the movie being an adaptation of the video game reboot, we will see a younger version of the hero in her origin story on the big screen. If any of the promotional materials provided thus far are any indication, it’s going to be a good time. Check out the new Tomb Raider reboot posters below:

Those anticipating the upcoming movie may have also noticed that the promotional Twitter account has also been going pretty crazy lately, with an abundance of posts arriving frequently. This could likely be due to the fact that the film is a little over a month away, or it could be because something else is on its way. Maybe we’ll even see another action-packed trailer before release day.

There’s no denying that fans are getting pumped for the upcoming film, but one can only imagine what Vikander thinks about taking on such a well-known role. Speaking with Collider, she had this to say:

I hadn’t played the new rebooted game…and now I have and now it’s quite different. The [sic] kind of rebooted the game and it visually looks quite different and it’s like I said, it’s more of an origin story.

I played the game when I was a kid. Anyways, it was a really the real first protagonist I had seen in a video game at that point. And of course Angelina Jolie made her into an icon. So it’s cool to try to step into the shoes and we’re hoping to make something that will hopefully will be fresh and new.”

Tomb Raider is set to arrive in theaters on March 16. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming and film news going on right now, check out the following:
