The Book Of Boba Fett Trailer Teases Star Wars’ Criminal Underworld

The Book Of Boba Fett Star Wars Disney Plus

Star Wars’ mythical Boba Fett made his grand return in season 2 of the Disney Plus series The Mandalorian, but the fan-favorite standout is now gearing up for his very own spin-off titled ‘The Book of Boba Fett.’ Actor Temuera Morrison is back as the hair-trigger bounty hunter, partnered with Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen) as they navigate the galaxy’s criminal underworld and stake their claim to the criminal empire once ruled over by Jabba the Hutt.

By the looks of a new trailer, The Book of Boba Fett is definitely operating from a more shadowy perspective than the more moral and “Baby Yoda”-oriented premise of The Mandalorian. Intending to rule “with respect” rather than “fear,” Boba Fett’s claim to Jabba’s throne is challenged by several armed and interested parties, appearing to lead to more than a few uneasy alliances and, ahem, aggressive negotiations. Check out the action-packed trailer below.

Stealthily announced in a post-credit scene of The Mandalorian Season 2, the reveal of The Book of Boba Fett depicted the bounty hunter’s hostile takeover of Jabba’s crime syndicate on Tatooine. Details have been particularly sparse in the near-year since, with only rumors and speculation tiding fans over in the meantime. For this reason, the new trailer is almost sure to generate excitement, especially ahead of the series’ approaching debut in December.

While The Book of Boba Fett is set to take over Disney Plus’ streaming scene this Holiday season, the next year or so is looking similarly exciting for the Star Wars brand. These projects include the Rogue One spin-off Andor, the Ewan McGregor-led Obi-Wan Kenobi series, a live-action Ahsoka Tano show starring Rosario Dawson, and a High Republic adaptation called The Acolyte. A new Season 3 of The Mandalorian is also in the works for some time in Late 2022.

The Book of Boba Fett premieres December 29th on Disney Plus.
