New Shadow Of The Tomb Raider Key Art Revealed
Lara Croft is making huge waves with the release of a film based around the 2013 reboot of the franchise featuring Alicia Vikander in the titular role. A third release in the same series of games is arriving soon as well. New Shadow of the Tomb Raider key art has been revealed by Square Enix giving fans a quick look at a worn and weathered Lara.
Previously, Square Enix released a small teaser trailer which takes Lara to the mysterious shores of Linux. The location appears to be Mesoamerican in nature, including multiple stepped pyramids used by cultures such as the Mayans, Aztecs, Incans, and more. While many hoped to see another, larger trailer, Square Enix has released this image instead.
The image itself features a bloody Lara fitted with the various tools and weapons she’s come to be known for in the rebooted series. This time around however Lara can be seen holding a machete fitting of the Mesoamerican theme. The background within the image is dark and foreboding and screams of the trial by fire that awaits the young Tomb Raider.
