New Resident Evil 2 Gameplay Gives Fans A Closer Look At The Remake (VIDEO)

Resident Evil 2

E3 marked the reveal of the Resident Evil 2 remake to the excitement of fans in attendance and watching online. During the event fans were also treated to a live demo of the game, and those lucky enough to be there could play a bit as well. Stepping into the shoes of Leon S. Kennedy, fans likely saw the incredible differences immediately.

Through all of the hype, it’s difficult to really catch the subtleties of the demo being played over an interview. So, Capcom has released a new Resident Evil 2 gameplay trailer that reveals the kind of ambiance and danger fans likely missed at E3. Take a look for yourself in the video below:

Much of the gameplay is familiar as fans set foot in the iconic Racoon City Police Department. There are some differences in layout and camera positioning, but that is lost as viewers emerge into the world of Resident Evil 2 once again. The graphical updates and slight tweaks serve to create an all-new experience for an all too familiar horror game.

The Resident Evil 2 remake brings about a much more gruesome look at the title with intense encounters and horrifying injuries to some of the dead. The change in camera angle, which may be familiar from Resident Evil 4, makes the player feel even more ill at ease as they navigate the building. There’s definitely a lot to look forward to in this remake, and fans can get their hands on it January 25th.
