19 Original Xbox Games Confirmed For Xbox One, Including Multiple Star Wars Titles

A brand new batch of original Xbox games have been announced for backwards compatibility for the Xbox One. Announced via the latest episode of Inside Xbox, Microsoft revealed that 19 games are being made backwards compatible, including loads of classic Star Wars titles, many of which are fan favorites. The games are separated into two batches: the first batch will release on April 17th, and the second patch will be releasing on April 26th. Check out the list below:

Original Xbox Games – April 17

All the titles mentioned above will run off of their original disc or digitally, provided the user owns the physical version of the game. While there has actually been no word on whether or not they will be available for purchase through the Xbox Live Marketplace, there’s no reason why they won’t be, else the entire announcement would be rendered rather mute.

In addition to the new batch of original Xbox games, Microsoft also revealed that six newly enhanced Xbox 360 games are now available to play, including Darksiders, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, Red Dead Redemption, Portal 2, Gears of War 2, and Sonic Generations. It’ll be interested to see what other titles Microsoft decides to add to the list of backwards compatible games, with the next batch possibly being announced at this years E3.
