Alec Ryder is not a playable character in Mass Effect Andromeda. Rather, he is the father of Andromeda’s two protagonists Sara and Scott Ryder. Though it’s unknown what Alec’s facial appearance will look like in the game, his voice is provided the grizzly-voiced Clancy Brown. The actor previously provided the original voice of Neo Cortex in the Crash Bandicoot games, but most might recognize him from his role as Mr. Krabs on the animated show Spongebob Squarepants.
Mass Effect: Andromeda will launch on March 21st for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The game will reportedly also support PlayStation 4 Pro’s visually upgraded HDR and 4K modes, with developer BioWare “open” to doing the same with Xbox One’s upcoming Scorpio console.
Are you excited for tomorrow’s trailer drop? Why do you think Alec Ryder’s face has been hidden for so long? Perhaps it’s a character we’ve met before in the previous games? Whatever the case, let us know your thoughts in the comments below and be sure to check out these other related articles!
