New Final Fantasy VII Remake Leak Reveals Massive File Size On PS4

With less than two months away until its arrival, fans are chomping at the bit to get their hands on the highly anticipated Final Fantasy VII Remake. Publisher Square Enix has continued to keep things hyped up by releasing the occasional batch of screenshots and trailers, and now, it appears that we’ve found out how much all that beautiful content is going to cost our hard drives.

A recent leak for what appears to be a version of the Final Fantasy VII Remake box art as appeared online, and fans have pointed out a few unique pieces of information gleaned from the back cover. For one, it appears that the remake will be on two discs, and those that are getting the title for the PlayStation 4 will need 100 GB of free space for the install. Here’s the full print-out of the box art:

It deserves mentioning that this is not the same box art we’ve seen before, though this doesn’t necessarily discredit the information stated above. It was actually stated quite a long time ago that the Final Fantasy VII Remake would be dropping in a 2-disc format, so seeing that news show up on the above print-out should only serve as a confirmation of what we already knew. In terms of the actual file size, 100 GB and higher is at this point not particularly surprising, with titles such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Red Dead Redemption 2 making it decidedly less surprising for other games to follow suit.

The Final Fantasy VII Remake is slated to release on April 10th exclusively for the PlayStation 4.
