New DOOM Movie Reportedly In The Works, Revealed In Not The Best Way Possible
The recent success of the latest Tomb Raider reboot and Ready Player One have proven that films adapted from video games as source material can be done, and be done well. Now a recent leak indicates that yet another iconic franchise may be coming to the silver screen, and for the second time nonetheleass. Actress and singer/songwriter Nina Bergman has released a few Tweets which just announced the coming of a new DOOM movie – in arguably the least professional way possible.
Wow I’m doing the next “Doom” movie w Universal Pictures! It’s hard to imagine that Unviersal Studios would want the film to be revealed like this and there’s been no official mention of a new DOOM movie. If the leak is true however, it does draw up massive amounts of intrigue and anticipation. The recent reboot of the DOOM video game franchise was a huge success and it would be wonderful to see a new film to expand upon that.
While there were some interesting features to the DOOM film from 2005 featuring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, such as a cool sequence in the first person perspective, the movie itself wasn’t that great. In fact, even the Johnson admitted to thinking the film was horrible. When a fan asked whether or not this new DOOM movie would be any better, Bergman had this to say:
It will be!! Much better script 🙂 https://t.co/WqgksO7678

A source with close ties to Universal told us that the company wasn’t aware that any announcement had been made, and refused to comment on the speculation at this time.
Would you like to see him make a return to the DOOM franchise? Will the new film be able to persevere through the negative expectations set by its predecessor?
