Mortal Kombat Fan Art Depicts The Rock As Shao Kahn

Excitement for Mortal Kombat continues to build as Mortal Kombat 11 looms ever closer. The franchise especially has been celebrated lately since the numerous details about the newest game in the series were revealed last week in a big presentation. With that celebration came Mortal Kombat characters being trending Twitter topics and the subjects of many pieces of fan art. One such fan artist has been using his talents to depict famous actors and celebrities as Mortal Kombat characters. This artist recently unveiled his work visualizing Terry Crews as Jax, and now his latest piece imagines Dwayne Johnson as Shao Kahn.

Esteemed fan artist BossLogic is at it again, barely more than a day after his last piece of Mortal Kombat fan art. As seen on his official Instagram account,  his latest subject is Dwayne Johnson, also known by his wrestling moniker “The Rock”, were he to portray Shao Kahn from the series. While those passively glancing at the art might not have recognized Johnson in the artwork, taking a moment to glance at the figure’s jawline and eyes might perhaps remind The Rock fans of the famed wrestler-turned-actor.

While sadly Dwayne Johnson himself has yet to acknowledge this lovely art like Terry Crews did for Boss Logic’s rendition of his image, he could still make a shout out in the future. It wouldn’t be impossible for Johnson to consider playing Shao Kahn in a Mortal Kombat film. He has the physical frame, and he has appeared in video game-related films like Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and Doom in the past. As for him being Shao Kahn in a game? Well, that dream will likely be a fatality if you pause to think about it rationally.
