Monster Hunter Movie Trailer Leak Reveals First Footage (VIDEO)
A live-action Monster Hunter movie has been in the works for a few years now, the adaptation looking to adapt the beast-slaying adventures of Capcom’s popular video game series. Starring the likes of Milla Jovovich, Tony Jaa and Ron Perlman, fans have only received small peeks and varied details about what’s to come, though not all of it going over particularly well with online audiences.
Revealed at the Shanghai International Film Festival, Toho and Tencent were recently announced as distributing the Monster Hunter movie in China, the news accompanied with a showcase of the film’s first footage. The movie’s fantastical desert setting, all-star cast, as well as a few terrifying monsters were each given a spotlight, and thanks to the internet, the debuting trailer has now been leaked in the video below.

At just under 30 seconds, the footage is noticeably on the shorter side, but one has to acknowledge how surprisingly on-point much of the trailer appears to be. For one, the over-the-top armor and weaponry the cast are sporting is very Monster Hunter-esque, as are the two epic monsters that appear in the trailer, Diablos and Rathalos. Though this admittedly isn’t the crispiest of reveals, there at least appears to be a nice bit of fan-service mixed into the Monster Hunter movie when it releases on September 4th, 2020.
