New Monster Hunter Movie Trailer Reveals First Look At Black Diablos (VIDEO)
The folks working on the live-action Monster Hunter movie appear to be ahead of their production schedule. Earlier this year, it was announced that the Milla Jovovich-led film had been delayed until next year, with the crew citing the ongoing pandemic as reason for the delay. That seems to no longer be the case, with a newly revealed Monster Hunter trailer confirming that the film is slated to release later this year.
The live-action Monster Hunter movie released a new trailer that debuted at Comic-Con Russia. Clocking in at a brief 16 seconds, the trailer features star Milla Jovovich asking “What the hell is that?” before the ground starts to erupt and, well, a Black Diablos appears. Check it out below:

The trailer ends with a statement confirming that the movie will be releasing in theaters this December, though no specific date is given. Since the movie was previously delayed back into Spring 2021, the Twitter post also confirms via text that the new release window is legitimate. Intrigued by the film? Here’s the official movie preview blurb:
“When an unexpected sandstorm transports Lt. Artemis (Milla Jovovich) and her unit (TI Harris, Meagan Good, Diego Boneta) to a new world, the soldiers are shocked to discover that this hostile and unknown environment is home to enormous and terrifying monsters immune to their firepower. In their desperate battle for survival, the unit encounters the mysterious Hunter (Tony Jaa), whose unique skills allow him to stay one step ahead of the powerful creatures. As Artemis and Hunter slowly build trust, she discovers that he is part of a team led by the Admiral (Ron Perlman). Facing a danger so great it could threaten to destroy their world, the brave warriors combine their unique abilities to band together for the ultimate showdown.”
The live-action Monster Hunter movie is now slated to release at some point this December.
