Mass Effect Legendary Cache Includes Full-Size N7 Helmet

Mass Effect Legendary Cache

Gamers have many exciting titles to look forward to in the new year, with one such title being the Mass Effect: Legendary Edition. The collection of upgraded versions of the original Mass Effect trilogy was announced last November, although no release date was given at the time. Earlier today, the full release date was announced with a new trailer, and new details about the game’s launch were also disclosed. Now, a special edition, of sorts, for the game has been announced as the Mass Effect Legendary Cache, which includes a full-size N7 helmet.

Game Informer has reported on the new Mass Effect Legendary Cache, providing details on the items that the collection contains. The big star of the Cache is the 1:1 scale replica of Commander Shepard’s N7 breather helmet. The helmet is fully wearable with adjustable straps and AA battery-powered LED lights that can shine in either Paragon Blue or Renegade Red. Other big catches in the cache are two art prints, one of the female Commander Shepard and the other an image of the Normandy SR-1 in space.

The Mass Effect Legendary Cache also comes with a double-sided morality spinner pin, so that the wearer can switch between their allegiances to Paragon Blue and White or Renegade Red and Black at any given moment. Rounding out the Cache is an N7 acceptance letter from Captain Anderson and a metal case for the game that features the Mass Effect: Legendary Edition key art. It should be noted that this is just the case for the game and that the Legendary Cache purchase does not include the actual game.

The Legendary Cache is now available for pre-order on BioWare’s online store for $149.99 USD and is scheduled to arrive alongside the game’s launch on May 14th. As part of the reveal, BioWare is offering a special “early bird” incentive, allowing players to get free or discounted shipping from now until February 9th. Fans have been waiting for a Mass Effect Trilogy remaster for a while now, and the Legendary Cache is the perfect companion merchandise piece to truly make this return to the original games truly feel Legendary.
