Mass Effect: Andromeda Mobile Companion App Introduced for Tracking Multiplayer Progression
BioWare has introduced a Mass Effect: Andromeda mobile app to accompany the multiplayer aspect of the game. Earlier in the week, the application was announced to play a more casual role in the tracking of MP progress. The user interface is snazzy and modern, but still straightforward and easy to navigate. Certainly, flashy wouldn’t be an adjective to describe it and that’s a good thing. In order to log in to APEX HQ, all you will need is an Electronic Arts (EA) account. If you have yet to create a personal one, the main introductory screen of the mobile app will allow you to do so.
All sorts of cool new features will not only help players keep track of their multiplayer progression, but also manage and customize the widgets and general layout. Users can check out statistics, achievements, and missions your strike teams through the app, too! Pathfinders can send their Strike Teams on missions, debrief them upon return, and revise each one accordingly. Players can “equip, swap and modify weapons” for their personal multiplayer character, and adjust or re-spec skills any way they see fit.
You can monitor and examine information pertaining to leaderboard rankings, challenges, bonuses, unlocked characters, load outs, and so on. It’s convenient to use when you’re on-the-go, or simply don’t want to jump into the game for a simple task of completing objectives.
The friends list can be accessed using the Andromeda mobile app, too. Whether you want to find out which one of your friends are available for rounds of multiplayer challenges, or see who else is playing the game – the power is yours to control. If you’re one of those people who want to remain on the stealthy side of life, the settings will allow you to change and edit the status of your “Online Presence”. For that full-on immersive experience, the last thing you’d want is a “ping!” from a private message.
The Mass Effect: Andromeda mobile app “APEX HQ” will make a worldwide debut on March 20th – just a day before the launch of the game itself. Canada, Ireland, Romania, and Singapore have already seen a release since the 15th. It is available for Android (version 6.1 or later) and iOS devices (version 9.3 or later). If any questions of concerns do arise, players can refer to the help page here.
