Ghost Of Tsushima Multiplayer Coming This Fall (VIDEO)

Multiplayer is coming to Ghost of Tsushima! Senior game designer, Darren Bridges, of Sucker Punch Productions revealed Ghost of Tsushima: Legends – an online cooperative multiplayer mode that’s coming later this year. Instead of playing as Jin, explore the “haunting and fantastical” world from a different perspective as one of four legendary warriors.

Instead of a winner-takes-all type of multiplayer mode, Sucker Punch designed Ghost of Tsushima: Legends to be an “exclusively cooperative gameplay experience.” Team up with friends or with match-made allies for a party of two or four players where each player can choose between any of the warriors – samurai, hunter, ronin, or assassin. Check out a sneak peek below:

“With two players in Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, you’ll be able to play a series of co-op Story missions that escalate in difficulty, building on the foundation of combat from the single-player campaign but with new magical twists that often require careful synchronization with your partner,” Bridges explained. “With four players, you’ll be able to take on wave-based Survival missions, fighting groups of the toughest enemies Tsushima has to offer, including new Oni enemies with supernatural abilities.”

If the group can successfully complete all of the story and survival missions, challenging four-player raids await the best of the best – throwing you and your allies into a new realm and face to face with a “brutal, terrifying enemy.” Though raids won’t be available at the launch of Ghost of Tsushima: Legends but it will arrive not long after, according to Bridges.
