Marvel’s Spider-Man Pays Tribute To Stan Lee In Silver Lining DLC (VIDEO)
Earlier this year, a legend in the comic book industry passed away. In response to his passing, many fans and companies have come together sharing their admiration for the icon through various tributes such as Marvel’s Spider-Man. Not only does the Marvel’s Spider-Man PlayStation 4 exclusive feature a cameo of the man himself, but now also features another small nod that has arrived with the latest DLC.
The Silver Lining DLC is the third and final part of the City That Never Sleeps expansion, and the video below may feature some spoilers to the ending of the story:
As the story comes to a close, the screen cuts to a image of Lee taken from his cameo earlier in the game. Beside Lee is text that reads, “In memory of Stan Lee who inspired us all to be greater.” The image also features Lee’s iconic signature “Excelsior!” before more footage begins to roll, possibly setting up the events that will potentially take place in the sequel.
The Silver Lining DLC continues the story of Spider-Man and his fight against Hammerhead, the villain on the rise. Spidey joins forces with Silver Sable when Hammerhead begins stealing equipment and supplies from Sable International. Thanks to this unlikely team-up, players are able to explore the relationship between the two as they butt heads trying to stop the rising threat.
The Silver Linings DLC is available for PlayStation 4 for the price of $9.99. Players can also get the full City That Never Sleeps pack for $24.99, which includes the previous two chapters as well.
