Marvel's Avengers Will Feature "Nearly Limitless" Customization Options

Marvel’s Avengers had an explosive reveal trailer during Square Enix’s E3 2019 presentation, featuring Earth’s mightiest heroes taking on an unknown threat for our very first footage of the game. While the trailer was certainly exciting enough, the publisher didn’t provide much detailing on the game itself, only later revealing that the title wouldn’t be an open world game. Now, on the plus side, it has been revealed that Marvel’s Avengers will feature “nearly limitless” customization options for the game’s playable heroes.

The news comes by way of an official blurb for Marvel’s Avengers, revealing that there will be a skill tree for each playable character. Not only that, but there will also be a massive amount of outfits that can be obtained for each hero, making for a vast number of possibilities. “Unlock powerful skills and new gear to build your ideal version of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes,” the snippet reads. “When combined with original, fan-favorite, and classic outfits, there are nearly limitless ways to customize these iconic Heroes.”

Missed the E3 2019 trailer? Here’s what the game is all about, courtesy of Square Enix:

“Marvel’s Avengers begins at A-Day, where Captain America, Iron Man, the Hulk, Black Widow, and Thor are unveiling a hi-tech Avengers Headquarters in San Francisco — including the reveal of their own helicarrier powered by an experimental energy source. The celebration turns deadly when a catastrophic accident results in massive devastation. Blamed for the tragedy, the Avengers disband. Five years later, with all Super Heroes outlawed and the world in peril, the only hope is to reassemble Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.”

Marvel’s Avengers launches on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia on May 15, 2020.
