Mario Kart Hot Wheels Are Speeding Their Way Into Retailers Soon
Hot Wheels are leading the way once again. A classic mini car toy collection that children saw in Happy Meals and wanted at every grocery check-out line, this line of collectible playthings has a neat collaboration to announce. According to toy manufacturer Mattel, Mario Kart Hot Wheels speeding their way into retailers soon and they look as awesome as they sound.
Featuring the classic cast and other fantastic characters, Mario, Peach, Toad, Yoshi, Luigi, Rosalina, Wario and Bowser have all made the initial cut. These eight will make a debut appearance at San Diego Comic-Con this week, attached to appropriately designed vehicles. Check them out:
This isn’t the first time Mattel and Nintendo have collaborated for a Hot Wheels product and likely won’t be the last. What more appropriate company to cooperate together than a car toy manufacturer and one of the most popular racing video game franchises out there? Mattel created a line of customizable character cars in 2016 based on the Super Mario Bros. series, which even included Donkey Kong.
As far as we know, the aforementioned collection doesn’t feature him or other iconic characters from the series. If this Mario Kart Hot Wheels line gains enough popularity, who knows what might happen. Each car can be purchased individually for $4.99 when they hit the shelves in June next year.
