Lucasfilm Confirms Knights Of The Old Republic Project In The Works
I know I am not alone in saying that there is a hole in my heart that only Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 3 can fill, especially with the recent reveal of what the plot of the game would likely have ended up being. Alas, that hole will continue to remain, though according to Lucasfilm we may be getting the next best thing in the form of an actual, honest to goodness KOTOR movie.
The news comes by way of Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy herself, who recently spoke with MTV News about the future of Star Wars and upcoming projects. When the interviewer mentioned that a lot of fans want to see something related to Knights of the Old Republic, Kennedy revealed that the studio talks about it “all the time,” and that they are “developing something to look at.” The full clip can be seen below, with the subject in question coming up at the 1:28 mark.

Obviously, this could mean absolutely anything at this point, though the conversation was bookended by discussions of future Star Wars movies and shows that will be airing on Disney+, so it is absolutely within the realm of possibility that we’ll either be getting a full-blown KOTOR movie or Disney+ series in the future. I’ll be happy either way, because at least people will be talking about Knights of the Old Republic again, and that’s never a bad thing.
