You may know him as the Executive Producer of shows like The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Arrow, and Supergirl, but now you will know him as the new Director for Little Shop of Horrors. Native New Yorker Greg Berlanti will direct the remake for Warner Bros. Pictures from a script written by Matthew Robinson, who is the man behind In Search of Humans and The Invention of Lying. This won’t be Berlanti’s first rodeo since he has also directed the movies Life as We Know It and The Broken Hearts Club: A Romantic Comedy. He also co-wrote and co-produced the movie Green Lantern, starring Ryan Reynolds.

The 1986 classic Little Shop of Horrors was directed by Frank Oz and starred such greats as Rick Moranis, Steve Martin, Bill Murray, and Ellen Greene. In the movie, a sad and lonely florist named Seymour discovers a strange, raunchy plant that feeds on blood and grows larger with every meal it consumes. Seymour starts to gain more success and becomes a local celebrity thanks to his unusual plant which grows bigger and bigger along with its appetite. Little Shop of Horrors received an Academy Award nomination for Best Visual Effects and for Best Original Song. This remake will be a musical so get your vocalizer warmed up so you can sing along!
