Life Is Strange Remastered Collection Delayed To 2022
As the game industry continues to grow as one of the biggest entertainment mediums in the world, it still finds ways for smaller-scaled franchises to rise in size and scope. One such franchise has been the Life Is Strange series, which started off as a singular episodic game series in 2015, before expanding into sequels, spinoffs and comic books. Publisher Square Enix delighted Life Is Strange fans earlier this year with the promise of not only a brand new Life Is Strange game, but also a Life Is Strange Remastered Collection. However, it seems that the Remastered Collection will be delayed well past its planned release date.

Square Enix made a new statement about the upcoming Life Is Strange games on their official Life Is Strange Twitter account. The post first confirms that the new Life Is Strange: True Colors game is still set to release on its planned release date of September 10th, with a new trailer coming tomorrow. It also announces new DLC for the game focused on the character Steph will be arriving on September 30th. However, the Life Is Strange Remastered Collection is not going to be as timely for its release.
The tweet suggests that the development team needs more time to finish the game, largely due to the employees mostly working remotely due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As such, the Life Is Strange Remastered Collection is going to push its release into early 2022. Delays have been fairly commonplace the past year and a half since the pandemic began, so hopefully fans understand the reasoning behind the delay. Max Caulfield has the ability to turn back time, but if only we had the power to speed up time to when the Remastered Collection launches.
