WATCH: Latest Monster Hunter PS4 Gameplay Footage Presents Action Packed Combat
The release of Monster Hunter World is merely two weeks away, and Capcom continues to release a continuous stream of in-game footage and content to show eager gamers. In the latest Monster Hunter World gameplay video revealed presents a deeper look into the vibrant landscape of the Coral Highlands, as well as exciting combat between a hunter and the deceptive Paolumu (a.k.a. giant pink bats with fluffy cotton candy donuts for necks).
As seen in the video below, fans are witness to how the environment and the thriving ecosystem may affect gameplay and hunt’s outcome. Out of the blue, a Tzitzi-Ya-Ku decides to join the party and attacks the Paolumu with a quick flash from its fins. Though an unlikely ally, this situation can be turned to the player’s advantage, granting the opportunity to land a few more hits, but it can also be a double-edged sword.
The latest Monster Hunter World footage also reveals how hunters can take advantage of certain species such as the Wingdrakes for quick transportation. In this case, however, it won’t be easy to track the Paolumu with another predator standing in the way. Despite plans a player may have during an expedition, interactions from the environment may call for some quick thinking.
