Square Enix continues to find more tidbits of information and aspects of Kingdom Hearts 3 in these last final months before it arrives in January. Much of the game’s promotional material so far has been focusing on the new Disney and Pixar worlds being added to the game, but many have wondered about the worlds and characters from previous titles in the series that might return, if there are any. Thankfully, some new Kingdom Hearts 3 Twilight Town and Olympus screenshots have surfaced, highlighting two familiar worlds and their returning characters.

Square Enix released the new screenshots on their official Kingdom Hearts Twitter account. The first set of images provide bigger looks at the returning Twilight Town world, the home of Roxas introduced in Kingdom Hearts 2. The images confirm that Roxas’ friends, Hayner, Pence and Olette will return once more to help Sora’s party on his quest. It seems that Pence might also provide some technical assistance for our brave protagonist and his new smartphone as well.

Another set of images also revealed more about Olympus, the world based on Disney’s Hercules film. Hercules and friends have appeared in several Kingdom Hearts games so far, but rarely ventured outside of the Coliseum or the Underworld. Now, Olympus is a much larger world that will reunite Sora with Hercules’s crew once more. This time, Hercules’s father Zeus and the Tornado and Lava Titans will also be making appearances now. These returning worlds look absolutely stunning with updated graphics made possible with current gen technology, and certainly pay tribute to its predecessors.
