Dead By Daylight Halloween Event ‘The Hallowed Blight’ Now Live

Plenty of folks are in for the fright of their lives year round in Dead by Daylight, but for those that need to get into the mood for a good fear-induced adrenaline rush, what better time than now? Behaviour Digital reveals Dead by Daylight’s Halloween event titled ‘The Hallowed Blight,’ and all those in for a trick are certainly in for a treat as well (sorry, not sorry for the puns).

Taking place between October 19th to November 2nd, both survivors and killers will earn sweet, sweet loot. New gameplay interactions, lore, and items galore will present themselves as rewards. Players can also earn “large amounts of Bloodpoints through offerings.” What makes this Dead by Daylight event even better? For the first time since the game release in 2016, folks can choose their reward from a selection of 7 amazing outfits. As a matter of fact, you can earn up to two full outfits from the Hallowed Blight collection.

Aside from the in-game festivities to be had, three separate contests will be held in the Dead by Daylight forums, one for each category: artwork, pumpkin carving, and costume. Here’s the full synopsis of the event from Behaviour:

For the duration, players will be investigating horrific experiments conducted on unwilling specimens injected with toxins from a mysterious plant only found in the world of the Entity. What results is…terrifying: aggressive fluid-filled killers on the hunt for unsuspecting survivors. Survivors are in a rush to collect toxin from plants to fill Vials, though death can interrupt the process.

And death is never more than a heartbeat away as Killers will be trying to fill their own Vials, hanging their preys on Cankerous Hooks. For both parties, filling a Vial rewards Putrid Serum, a special event currency that can be traded for wicked Hallowed Blight cosmetic pieces, a Survivor’s Will’o Wisp flashlight or the All Hallows’ Eve Lunchbox (medkit) that glows with ghastly images.

Since the launch of the event, the vials capacity has been raised from 15 to 30 for each role. That totals out to a whopping 60 vials. Are you keeping up with the bloodshed in Dead By Daylight?
