In the greater pantheon of culture right now, there may be perhaps no figure that looms larger over media and society than Kanye West. The rapper and entrepreneur is well known for his unique brand of musical performance, almost as well as he is known for his grand public displays of emotion. Kanye is no stranger to the world of video games, as he has worked on games of his own, and has been referenced in games like the South Park RPGs. Now, it seems that Kanye is interested in working another eccentric but talented titan in his given industry: Hideo Kojima.

Kanye West recently posted a tweet on his official Twitter account requesting a meetup with none other than Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima. Tagging the developer’s official account, Kanye seemingly hoped to slide into Kojima’s DMs, presumably to discuss their work and/or propose a collaboration. West does not specify what his intentions are, but many have theorized that he would like to create music that would appear on the soundtrack for Kojima’s upcoming game, Death Stranding. Others think that Kanye may be intending to develop another game of his own, and hopes to gain Kojima’s insight.

Nonetheless, it seems this initial attempt at contact was not fruitful, so Kanye released a tweet to all of his followers requesting help to arrange the meeting. Leave it to the salty Dorito Pope himself, Geoff Keighley, to provide salvation in Kanye’s time of need. There’s no word as to whether or not his holiness successfully found a way to bring the two parties together, but he would be Heartless not to try. Hopefully it did happen, so that such a high profile name can only be added to Kojima’s worthy clout in the industry, and greater culture at large. Kojima is one man that SHOULD have all that power.
